Two Animes to be released by Sentai Filmworks in September.
The North American anime licensor company Sentai Filmworks has announced on Saturday that they have licensed the anime series Amagami SS and MM!
The announcement was made on Anime Central, which has started Last Friday until Sunday at Rosemont, Illinois (USA).
According to Anime News Network, Sentai Filmworks has indicated that the two series is “most likely” to be released only in English subtitles.
The two anime series are set to be released in September.
Amagami SS is a story of Junichi Tachibana, a second-year high school boy his heart broken two years ago by a girl who didn’t show up for a date on Christmas Eve. Now a second year student in high school, Junichi spends his days inside his closet planetarium, going to school and hanging out with his friends Tanamachi Kaoru and Umehara Masayoshi.
After a chance encounter with one of the most beautiful girls in school, the third year student Morishima Haruka, Junichi finds himself spending time with her, carrying books for her or having her unexpectedly jump on his back and act as she’s a jockey and he’s her horse. Soon enough, Junichi becomes romantically interested in Haruka which leads to.
Amagami SS is based on a PS2 dating game, created by Enterbrain, featuring six different girls. The story of the anime will be arranged in an omnibus format, with each heroine getting her own version of the story animated. Each heroine will sing her own version of the ending theme song. The anime had aired on the Tokyo station TBS from July 01, 2010 to December 23, 2010, and the 13th & final DVD and BD volume were released in Japan last April 29.
MM! is a story of Sado Tarou, who suffers from sexual masochism, in which he experiences sexual pleasure from pain. He feels he won’t ever have a normal relationship with his condition and decides to visit the Voluntary Club, a place that grants students’ wishes, for a cure. At the club, he finds Isurugi Mio, a girl who thinks she is a god, and Yuno Arashiko, the girl who caused his condition in the first place. (MyAnimeList.net)
MM! has been adapted from the original light novel series, created by the late Akinari Matsuno.
The anime series had premiered on TV Tokyo’s satellite anime channel AT’X on October 02, 2010, and the sixth (6th) & final DVD and BD volume will be released in Japan on May 25.
