Collectibles Unlimited, the organizers of the Philippine Toys, Hobbies & Collectibles Convention (TOYCON), held a press conference on saturday to discuss the upcoming staging of the 10th TOYCON.
The organizers are expecting that their attendance would reach more than 20,000 attendees that were recorded in previous years.
“We are confident we could beat the 20,000 (attendee)… that’s why we’re prepared. We have the security team (from Megatrade Hall and SM Megamall)” Azrael Coladilla, also from Collectibles Unlimited, told ZEN Otaku Honbu.
“Nakakapasok naman ang lahat, that’s why we print many tickets, pag na-uubusan naman kami, nagpi-print naman kami agad. But as a precaution, pag puno na ang hall, they (security) will stop the entry.” he added.
The organizers said that they will have adequate security, but also advises the public to take care of their belongings.
The event will highlight the filming of the China-produced film called “Cosplay Nation”, which will star Chinese celebrities Linda Le, Cheng Yi, and Philippine cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
“The China film group are very professionals in handling logistics and production situations like this.” Coladilla said.
TOYCON will be their first leg of on-location filming.
