Anime based on otome game premires in April 2012.
The list of staff, cast, and premiere date of the anime adaptation of the otome (maiden) game Hiiro no Kakera was announced in a tweet posted by the series’ official Twitter account.
The series is set to premiere in April 2012 on Tokyo MX, YTV, and other select TV stations around Japan.
The cast of the original game, except for the protagonist, will reprise their roles for the anime adaptation.
The first Hiiro no Kakera game was shipped in Japan in 2006, and was since followed up by three sequels. The original game centered around Tamaki Kasuga, a 17-year-old high school girl. When her parents have to go overseas for work, Tamaki moves to her mother’s hometown in the mountains with her grandmother. On the day that Tamaki arrives at the village, she encounters strange creatures, only to be saved by a mysterious boy. The boy, Takuma Onizaki, is the first of five Guardians of the Tamayohime that Tamaki meets. (Synopsis from Anime News Network)

Yoshiko Nakamura is set to write the series’ script, while Naoyuki Onda will serve as character designer (adapting the original character designs by Yone Kazuki) and chief animation director of the series. The anime will be produced by Studio DEEN.
