Tracks include new Guilty Crown, Black★Rock Shooter OSTs.
J-pop and Vocaloid-based band supercell has announced that they will be releasing their fifth and latest single Kokuhaku/Bokura no Ashiato on March 07, 2012.
The single contains two tracks: “Kokuhaku,” which will also serve as Guilty Crown‘s new ending theme song, and “Bokura no Ashiato,” which will become the new ending theme song of the upcoming anime series Black★Rock Shooter, with both changes taking effect on February 02.
The band’s members are not only involved in providing the anime series’ soundtracks, but are also contributing to the production of the series. One of the band’s illustrators, red juice, designed some of the characters of Guilty Crown, while fellow illustrator huke worked on the illustrations for Black★Rock Shooter. Both members are said to be gaining a reputation for their illustrations.
The new single will come in four different editions: a “Guilty Crown” version, which is available as Limited Edition A (CD+DVD) and Regular Edition A (CD-only); and a “Black★Rock Shooter” version, which will be labeled Limited Edition B (CD+DVD) and Regular Edition B (CD-only). The ‘A’ versions of the single will feature jacket designs by red juice, while the ‘B’ versions will a cover designed by huke.
supercell is a popular Japanese band, which started off as an indie group by composer & lyricist Ryo in 2007. They have used the vocaloid software Miku Hatsune as vocals, which was uploaded to video-sharing website Nico Nico Douga. Their videos had reached more than five million views.
In 2009, they have released their major debut and have released a number of chart-topping singles with Nagi Yanagi in vocals, and some of their songs had been used in anime programmes, such as Bakemonogatari and Naruto Shippuden.
Some of their popular song are “The World is Mine” with Miku Hatsune in vocals, “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari” and “Utakata Hanabi” with Nagi Yanagi in vocals. Recently, they have performed the theme song of Guilty Crown, such as “My Dearest” with Koeda in Vocals & “Departures ~Anata ni Okuru Ai no Uta~” with Chelly in vocals.
Last January 1st, ZEN Otaku Honbu has been rebranded as Anime Pilipinas.
New Name, but still has the same goal in going deeper into the Japanese Anime
