Popular movie adaptation to be available on digital platforms, DVD and Blu-ray this year.
North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks has announced on Thursday that it has acquired the popular TYPE-MOON movie Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.
According to the press release, the company is set to release the anime movie on DVD and Blu-ray later this year, and in digital platforms for North American internet/broadband users soon.
The company also announced that the anime movie’s home video release will also be dubbed in English language by Bang Zoom! Entertainment
Having spent the last ten years of his life studying under a mysterious sorcerer, Shiro Emiya has become a Magi, a sorcerer who has summoned a “Servant,” a mystical female warrior of incredible power named Saber, to stand together in the ultimate test of sorcery and magic: the Holy Grail War. Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is originally a part of TYPE-MOON’s Fate/stay Night videogame storyline.
The anime film opened in Japan in January 2010, and its Blu-ray release in October ranked #1 in the Oricon charts. It has sold 44,000 copies in its first week.
