
The 19th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine this year has announced that manga series Air Gear is set to end, and only has five (5) more chapters left.

Air Gear is a sports manga written & illustrated by Ito “Oh! Great” Ogure, and is serialized on Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since May 2003 and currently has 35 volumes.
It was given an anime adaptation, which ran from April to September 2006, and has 25 episodes. The anime adaptation was directed by Hajime Kamegaki, director of Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres, and written by Chiaki J. Konaka, who is also the scriptwriter for the 2003 adaptation of Astro Boy. It was produced by Toei Animation.
The anime was first aired in the Philippines through terrestrial network ABS-CBN in May 2007, and cable channel ANIMAX Asia followed a month after.
