One of the most anticipated event this summer has finally arrived… OZINE FEST 2012! Expect that it is going to be crowded, jampacked, and a lot of excitement. But before we start our coverage later today, here are some of the things you can expect in this hot event.
OZINE FEST 2012 is an annual event, organized by Otakuzine Anime Magazine, and definitely the most anticipated event every summer. It is held from April 14 to 16 at the SM Megamall – Megatrade Halls 2 and 3.
WHAT TO EXPECT
First things that you should expect is the crowd, both outside the halls and the inside. Yes, we wrote an editorial last year about that and we still firmly stand behind it. You have been warned, so be prepared and be secure of your belongings. Please.
It is also expected that there will be a lot of booths inside the hall, whether it toys, merchandises, and things that otakus crave for… and maybe are worth buying for… so prepare a little bit of your summer savings! One thing that I cannot resist, quite frankly, are those special issues of Otakuzine Magazine they always release during the event.
This year, they got six covers — Persona 4, Shakugan no Shana III Final, Naruto Shippuden, Detective Conan, Tiger and Bunny, and Rurouni Kenshin — and all of them are worth buying, but unfortunately I could only buy one or else I will walk all the way home. XD
Take note, there are also some other interesting booths, like the horror booth, fortune telling booth, anime figmas & nendoroids, and the Ozine Maid Cafe & Host Club… What do they offer this time? I like some hot chocolate milk. hehe.
There are so many events to look out for, like Battle of the Bands, Auctions, and the most awaited cosplay competiton. Group cosplay is happening today, and Individual cosplay happens tomorrow. You can also join in or be a spectator for League of Legends tournament, and Gundam Building Contest.
Speaking of bands, you all-time favourite bands are performing… Asian Chicken Fest, Do’ahou, Haponesang Dilat, Himitsu Heiki, Moonspeak, PPF All-Star, Stigma of Disgrace, and Trance will perform.
HOW TO GET IN?
It appears that the ticket prices for Ozine Fest this year will not be raised… still at PhP100 per person per day. Thank Goodness. But it is also expected that two-day entry ticket will be available (of course, three-day if you have attended the event on Friday).
This is how ZEN sees Ozine Fest 2012 before the event, and make sure that you check zen.ph as well as on twitter on the event, and facebook for the breaking news stories elsewhere. And as we have said the last time, See you at the event!
