Last year’s ANIMAX Musix event also set to air next month.
Anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced that they will air the 1987 action comedy anime City Hunter.
The channel also announced that they will air the last year’s ANIMAX Musix event, featuring J-pop artists like May’n, Shoko Nakagawa, KOTOKO, Kalafina, and many more.
City Hunter is a story of Ryo Saeba, who is a ladies’ man, troubleshooter and expert marksman which works the streets of Tokyo as the ‘City Hunter’ – a freelance ‘sweeper’ or private detective who works to rid the city of crime.
Adapted from Tukasa Hojo’s manga series, which ran from 1985 to 1991. The series also inspired Four anime TV series, Three TV specials, Two OVA series, an animated feature film, a live-action Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan, as well as a Popular Korean live action TV drama starring Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young (which was aired on sister channel ONE and on terrestrial network ABS-CBN).
The series will premiere this June 06 (Wednesday) at 11:00pm MNL.
