New characters introduced, New promo video posted.
The official website for Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito, the spinoff of the popular anime series Code Geass, has announced last April 27 that the anime will open in theaters on August 04, Saturday.
However, the website did not specify if the upcoming OVA will be screened by parts or in its entirety.
But singer Ichiko Hashimoto has revealed in a blogpost that the anime will be released as a 50-episode OVA, with four episodes in total which will be released with three months apart. There had been no confirmation, and the information was edited out from the blogpost.
The website introduced new characters to be a part of the upcoming series, but has yet to name who will voice these characters.
KLAUS (クラウス• ウオソシク)
Reila’s lieutenant in the E.U. military’s special forces unit “W-0”.
A civilian brain science expert who was scouted to work with the group.
Sophie’s assistant researcher who loves sweets.
Reila’s childhood friend and a genius scientist who developed “Alexander”.
SHIN (シン • ヒユウガ • シヤインク)
A Britannian and member of the Knights of St. Michael.
A Britannian knight who works with Shin.
The website also posted on Monday additional voice cast, which includes Shakugan no Shana’s Satoshi Hino as the opposition group leader Ryo Sayama, Heaven’s Memo Pad’s Yoshitsugu Matsuoka & K-ON’s Youko Hikasa as opposition members Yukiya Naruse & Ayano Kousaka respectively.
This is an addition to the previously announced line-up, which was Miyu Irino as Akito Hyuga, pilot of W-0, and Maaya Sakamoto as Layla Malkal, a former noblewoman of Britannia and a W-0 unit commander.
Last January 1st, ZEN Otaku Honbu has been rebranded as Anime Pilipinas.
