Soukyuu no Fafner movie also set to premiere next month; Bleach airs new episodes.
ZEN Otaku Honbu has learned that the Pan-regional Anime channel ANIMAX is set to air some of the big anime titles, including Eureka Seven AO and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos movie, this holiday season.
In the year 2025, 13-year-old boy Ao Fukai has lived in Okinawa on the island of Iwato with Dr. Toshio Fukai, since Ao’s mother Eureka disappeared 10 years ago.
When a mysterious organization attacks the local Scub Coral – a sentient extraterrestrial life form that merged with Earth – Ao somehow gets mixed up in the battle and manages to activate an enigmatic robot called the Nirvash while it is being transported by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.
Ao then finds out that the Nirvash belonged to Eureka, and embarks on a journey to find his mother and learn the truth about his origins.
Eureka Seven AO premiere as an 8-episode marathon broadcast on December 22, 23, and 29, from 11:30am to 03:30pm, with a repeat broadcast at 12:00am.
The anime was part of the screening that was held during the recently concluded Anime Festival Asia in Singapore, but it was noticeable that the ANIMAX logo was included on the poster.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, a new feature-length adventure into the world of an international anime sensation. A fugitive alchemist with mysterious abilities leads the Elric brothers Edward and Alphonse to a distant valley of slums inhabited by the Milos, a proud people struggling against bureaucratic exploitation.
The brothers quickly find themselves caught in the midst of a rising rebellion, as the exiled Milos lash out against their oppressors. At the heart of the conflict is Julia, a young alchemist befriended by Alphonse. She will stop at nothing to restore the Milos to their former glory – even if that means harnessing the horrifying power of the mythical Philosopher’s Stone.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milospremieres on Saturday, December 29, at 01:30pm.
The year is 2148. Two years have passed since the world was defended from the mysterious aliens “Festum“, leaving the world in peace. The youths and inhabitants of Tatsumiya Island have recovered and continue to live their everyday lives in the newfound peace.
Soushi promised Kazuki that he would one day return to Tatsumiya Island but instead he keeps himself hidden. Kazuki still clings to the promise his fallen friend Soushi made to him to return to the island and set things right again. Kazuki’s hopes flare when a life form is detected within an unmanned submarine that comes floating into Tatsumiya Bay one night, but the person aboard isn’t Soushi; it is a mysterious “boy” named Misao Kurusu who may not be entirely human, and who claims to have been sent by Soushi. With Misao’s arrival, hostilities break out anew between the Human Army and the Festum, and the Fafner pilots are thrown into the most desperate battle of their lives.
FAFNER: DEAD AGGRESSOR: Heaven and Earth premieres on Sunday, December 30, at 02:00pm.
Three new characters — Princess Rurichiyo Kasumioji and her two Shinigami guardians, Kenryu and Enryu — arrive in the real world and become Ichigo’s new neighbours and classmates. The story picks up after Ichigo defeats Grimmjow. It continues with the fight between Soul Society’s group of Shinigami against Sosuke Aizen’s army of Arrancar, with the former defending Karakura Town, and the latter planning to use Karakura to invade and destroy Soul Society.
New episodes of BLEACH premieres on December 17 (Monday), and airs Every Weeknights at 07:30pm.
