After airing its first episode in Japan last April 06, it was announced that the second season of the hit moeblob anime will air on ANIMAX.
August, the ANIMAX Ambassador, has announced on his twitter account (@augustarev) that the anime K-ON!! will be airing this October, six (6) months after the new season of the anime premiered in Japan. K-ON!! will also premiere on ANIMAX just a week after the programme aired its 26th Episode, the final episode.
The first episode of K-ON!! is set to premiere on October 20, Every Wednesday Nights at 09:30pm (for Philippine and Malaysia feed), 08:30pm (for Singapore viewers), and 07:30pm (for viewers in Jakarta). It is still unknown if they will air the programme in Japanese Audio with English Subtitles, or English Dubbed.
You may remember that the first season of K-ON! premiered on March 26, and prior to that ANIMAX had made tremendous effort to promote the programme, and at the same time to lure K-ON! fans, who have read the manga and watched the anime adaptation through various sources, to watch the anime on the said channel.
We should also remind you that ANIMAX will also premiere the anime adaptation of Iron Man this October, which means two (2) big anime titles will air on the channel that month. Iron Man will be one of the two Marvel animes to be aired on ANIMAX.
Here is a short synopsis of K-ON!!, according to AnimeNewsNetwork.com:
It’s the final year of high school for Yui Hirasawa, Ritsu Tainaka, Mio Akiyama, and Tsumugi Kotobuki, the founding members of the Light Music Club. Together with their junior member, Azusa Nakano, they spend their days after school in the music room enjoying tea and sweets and practicing music. Amidst band practice, preparations for the new student orientation performance, scouting for new members, and student responsibilities, they still have time for “After School Tea Time”.
UPDATE: Fixed the title.
UPDATE 2: Added Additional Background Information
UPDATE 3: Iron Man anime airing did not pushed through.
