Comedic action anime TV series Beelzebub begins with Tatsumi Oga, a first year student in Ishiyama High School, a school overrun by juvenile delinquents, among whom he is the strongest.
In a bizarre sequence of events that see him pull on shore a man floating down a river who then splits open, Tatsumi finds himself stuck with a green haired baby boy who becomes so attached to him that he cannot shake him off. Try as he might to get rid of the child, Tatsumi and his friend Furuichi get electrocuted and blown up each time they try to separate the baby from Tatsumi.
But, with the arrival of the baby’s maid and caretaker demon, Hilda, they find out that the child is in fact Beelzebub, the infant son of the Great Demon King. The demon lord had, on a whim, sent his newborn son to be raised by a suitably powerful and evil human being on Earth to eventually destroy humankind.
As it becomes obvious that Beelzebub does not want to leave Tatsumi, the two form a bond that is capable of unleashing former’s great demonic powers of destruction. Now it is left to Tatsumi, Furuichi and their bunch of buddies to be responsible for raising the infant Demon King, and to somehow prevent destruction from befalling the world… (Synopsis from ANIMAX)
