Romantic comedy anime set to premiere this April.
The Kodansha magazine Bessatsu Shounen Magazine has announced on Saturday the voice cast for the upcoming anime series Sankarea.
The casts are Ryohei Himura, who played Kodaka Hasegawa in the anime series Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, as Chihiro Furuya, Maaya Uchida, who played Izumi Yunomoto in the anime series Mouretsu Pirates (Bodacious Space Pirates) as Rea Sanka, Yuka Iguchi, who played Index in the anime series Toaru Majutsu no Index, as Mero Furuya, and Sayuri Yahagi, who played Haruna Sairenji in the anime series To-Love-Ru, as Ranko Saouji.
In a related story, The Japanese broadcaster TBS also announced the staff of the upcoming series during Comiket 81 last week.
The staff includes Mamoru Hatakeyama as the series director, while Noboru Takagi, who also worked on the anime series [C] – Control, will handle series composition, and Higurashi no Naku Koroni character designer Kyuuta Sakai will also handle character designs.
The upcoming anime series will be produced by Studio DEEN, and is set to premiere this April.

Sankarea is an anime adaptation of a romantic comedy manga series by Mitsuru Hattori, which was serialized by Kodansha in the Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. The first volume was published in December 2009, and currently has four (4) volumes.
