.hack//G.U. Trilogy, two anime titles also set to premiere next month.
Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv has announced in a press release on Thursday that Internationally-acclaimed anime films Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade and Sword of the Stranger are set to premiere on the HEROtv Theatrixx movie block this December.
Also set to premiere on the movie block is the anime film adaptation of the .hack//G.U. Trilogy video game.
After witnessing the suicide bombing of a terrorist girl, Constable Kazuki Fuse becomes haunted by her image, and is forced to undergo retraining for his position in the Capital Police’s Special Unit. However, unknown to him, he becomes a key player in a dispute between Capital and Local Police forces, as he finds himself increasingly involved with the sister of the very girl he saw die. The anime has been nominated and won various awards in Japan and abroad, like Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival, Mainichi Film Awards, Canada’s Fant-Asia Film Festival, and Portugal’s Fantasporto.
It has been directed by Hiroyuki Okiyura, who also handled works like Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Paprika, and written by Mamoru Oshii, who handled works like Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor, and Urusei Yatsura.
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade premieres on December 09 (Sunday) at 12:00am, 12:00pm, and 09:00pm.

The anime has appeared in various film festivals, like Germany’s AnimagiC, England’s Leeds International Film Festival, and the Asia-Pacific Screen Awards. It was also considered to be one of the three nominees for the Best Animation Feature on the 81st Academy Award.
It was directed by BONE’s Masahiro Ando, who also directed Hanasaku Iroha & CANAAN, and written by Fumihiko Takamura, who also handled works like Bubblegum Crisis, Gunparade March, and RahXephon.
Swords of the Stranger premieres on December 16 (Sunday) at 12:00am, 12:00pm, and 09:00pm.

He comes accross a girl named Atolli who despite his callous and dismissive attitude twards her takes an interest in him and decides to help him. She brings up old wounds for him because of her characters’ design and class. Hiroshi Matsuyama, who worked on various game titles like Final Fantasy VIII and Naruto: The Ultimate Ninja, is directing the video game’s anime adaptation.
.hack//G.U. Trilogy premieres on December 02 (Sunday) and repeated on December 30 (Sunday) at 12:00am, 12:00pm, and 09:00pm.
Also set to premiere on HEROtv this December are Michiko and Hatchin, and Kyoran Kazoku Nikki.
Hatchin is a girl raised by strict foster parents who has long given up her dreams of freedom. Michiko is a sexy criminal who escapes from a supposedly inescapable prison. Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine director Sayo Yamamoto directed the 22-episode anime series, and Takashi Ujita handled the scripts.
Michiko and Hatchin premieres on December 04 (Tuesday), and airing Weeknights at 11:00pm with repeats at 05:00am, 11:00am, and 05:00pm.

Kämpfer director Yasuhiro Kuroda has directed the 26-episode anime series, and Bokura ga Ita scriptwriter Mamiko Ikeda handles the series composition.
Kyoran Kazoku Nikki premieres on Christmas Day, December 25 (Tuesday), and airs Every Weeknights at 07:00pm with repeats at 01:00am, 07:00am, and 01:00pm.
